Do you know how I can fix this problem? It doesn't restart if I'm working on one page only but whenever I open a few tabs on Firefox or Internet Explorer, it restarts. This usually happens when I blog. Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks!!

  1. try taking off any firefox or internet explorer extensions.. and if the problem persisits.. obviously check for spyware and adware and viruses.. and if it still happening.. defragment your machine.. if that is still happening.. higher a professional.

  2. You should clear out your cache

  3. I think you have a virus on your computer. If not you should reformat it.

  4. When it restarts do you get a blue screen?  If this is true then its from the Operating System failure.  Vista FTL.

If you have Windows XP then its not a Operating System failure or computer crash

If it happens while your on the internet and blogging the most likely cause is a virus.

Solutions: If it is the Vista Operating Problem all you can do is deal with it or go back to xp.

If it is the internet virus problem Norton or another program will own it.

  5. Right click on My Computer and select properties.

    Click Advanced tab.

Click Settings under Startup and Recovery.

Under System Failure uncheck Automatically Restart.

    Click OK.

This won't cure your problem, as instead of restarting you'll likely get a Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) instead, but the information displayed will allow you to trace your problem.

If you still get the system rebooting and there is no BSOD then it's likely that your processor is overheating or your PSU is faulty. Try checking the system health in the BIOS for the processor or system temperature. You'd like it to be less than 50d Celcius, anything over 75d is running dangerous. Last Christmas mine hit 114d C and then caught on fire, although it was overclocked by a good 500mhz

Overheating is a common cause of restarts. Windows is also, by default, set to restart if the processor overheats or an error occurs.
