Why does my computer keep restarting?

For some unknown reason my Computer keeps restarting itself upon bootup.

When you turn it on, the bios loads, goes past's it and then the windows background comes up with the moving loading bar. After 5 seconds of this the computer restarts itself. It actually never reaches the windows user login window.

since it's been restarting itself, the Windows DOS option screen comes up.

":ie. Last known good configuration, start windows normally, safe mode etc.)

However if you select any of these options, windows just restarts itself on the loading screen.

  2. It could be that the O.S is probably corrupted, if you try to get into safe mode, and it restarts, then something went wrong, usually in computers i have dealt with, when i go to safe mode, it Goes IN*

Its been a long time since i hanged out in Safe Mode, its pretty scary now if i go there, i scare!! Been such a long time, but anyway, yeah here are some tips, Shut of the computer, wait a few minutes, or maybe an hour, Fire it up (Boot it up) and when that dos windows pops up telling you to go to safe mode, or last good configuration, then select one of those, see if it restarts itself automatically, if it does, something went wrong, not sure what it is, maybe virus or bug.

  3. Sounds like your computer is overheating. Read the article below it might help solve the issues:
