  1. You have ad ware, its hidden software on your computer that makes adds pop up on your computer.

    Go to

    http://xtechforum.com

and post a "HiJackThis" log, if you don't know how, someone on the forum will explain it to you, ask in the computer support section.

HiJackThis will list everything that's running on your computer, and then someone on the forum will give you step by step directions to remove all the adware and probably spyware too.

  2. These sound like 'Pop-ups' so you need to get a pop - up blocker and it also sounds like you have got viruses or spy ware so you should also do a virus scan

    Hope this helps

  3. Yep.  Adware/malware.

Ad-aware or SpyBot is good for removing them.

  4. Your computer does this because you are not properly protected:

Do yourself a favor. Forget the others:

In case someone tells you to reformat, ignore them. They just like to reformat for everything.

The fix for this problem is the following:

Get these two solutions that actually are RELIABLE !!!

    AVAST and AD-AWARE.

These tools do an EXCELLENT job, and the "home' versions are FEE to the public.

(The business versions you should purchase)

    A.

    Avast free Home Edition

    Get it here:

    http://www.avast.com/eng/avast_4_home.ht...

And please do a "thorough" scan as soon as you get it downloaded. The user interface is simple. Click the left side, and in the top menu that comes up, select thorough scan.

When it finds a culprit it throws up an alarm, then you DELETE the culprit, (do not quaranteen).

Then allow it to run all of the time, and you will be completely protected. It will "automatically" update itself, also for free.

You only need to renew your registration once a year, also free.

Note: I KNOW of several people who have used AVG and Norton and have gotten a virus anyway.

Don't go with Zone Alarm as it is hoggy and conflicting.

I've tried them all, and have had wonderful results with DEPENDABLE AVAST for the last 5 years.

The corporation I work for uses the Pro version, and has never has an incident. Avast is your answer.

    B.

Get free Ad-AWARE spy-removal tool from Lavasoft

    http://www.lavasoftusa.com/products/ad-a...

    1. Download, install and run this program weekly or more.

    ^j^

  5. These are called popups.  They can be caused by a few different things.

    1) The website itself,   use a pop up blocker for your browser.  If you are using IE7, IE6 with service pack 2 on XP or Firefox you have one installed and it should be on by default.

2)An adware program can create popups. Go download adaware, do a scan and remove all the items it finds.  You can also use Spybot S&D.  Both of those are free.

  6. You have been infected with a nasty malware, your security soft has failed to do it's job.

First do an online scan and clean with http://www.bitdefender.com/scan8/ie.html AND http://www.ewido.net/en/onlinescan/

Now it's time to replace that miserable insecurity software that you use; download the installers for

browser - http://www.opera.com/ - use this instead that malware magnet IE

    antivirus - http://www.avast.com/

    antispyware - http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/detai...

    ................. - http://www.safer-networking.org/en/downl...

    firewall - http://www.personalfirewall.comodo.com/

They are all the best in their category and FREE.

Unplug the internet line, uninstall the junk and install these (if

necessary in safe mode) one by one with each necessary reboot done.

Reconnect the line and update them (Spybot has it manual).

That's all. Now admire how fast and safe your pc is (only if you never use IE again).

  7. It is popups. You may have ad wear or it can be the website itself. If you get this problem even when you visit a different website, then you need to clean the system. You can do this by downloading a cleaning program online.
