Why does my computers time clock not keep accurate time.

I changed the battery thinking it might be that, but it still does not keep time , to the tune of being behind on avg 15 min per day.

  1. How old is your computer?  Some computers have a battery backup to keep time when the computer is turned off.  When this battery wears out the time starts getting out of whack.  If you already changed the battery could be the replacement was defective or the contacts on the battery holder need cleaning.


  2. dubble click on it and the a window will come up then click on the "internet time" tab then make sure the box that says "auto sync with the server" has a check in it the useing the drop down menu find a good server (any) then click "update now"
