Question:

Why does my cousin act like this!?

We just found out that when my cousin goes over her neighbors house she opens up doors, and goes through their fridge like it's their own. It's so rude. No one else(meaning her siblings, and even us her cousins) has done things like this. She's ALWAYS begging too! If you say no she just keeps asking, and when she sees someone with food it's always "ooh, what is that? can I have some" and sometimes she doesn't even know what it is! My aunt never disciplines her, and when my older cousin trys (she yells because I know first hand talking to that little girl does nothing) she gets yelled out it's so annoying because I know she gets embarrassed of her sister. My little cousins 6(turning 7 in three months), and her sisters 16. Why does she act like this? You can't say it's attention because she's ALWAYS getting it.

  1. Hey, I'm 17 and my brother is 9 so I think I could give some wisdom to this situation, because to me it always seems like my brother always gets whatever he wants. The simple answer is that she acts the way she does because she is young and doesn't yet have a clear concept of consideration or respect of others. The only thing the older cousin can do is tell her parents or simply take her food to a place where the younger cousin isn't. She can also try to make her younger sister realize that when she behaves the way she does, people don't want to be around her and get upset. Good luck.

  2. its very clear ...in fact you...already answered it : "My aunt never disciplines her,"--You.....this is clearly the issue...children need discipline.....otherwise all there is, is anarchy, and anarchy then chaos, then chaos...lawlessness..this is the progression of one who does.wrong....all beginning with the lack of discipline( whether being disciplined in something, or by someone...doesn't matter u kno?
