  1. The water might be too cold, so it's lethargic.  Ideal temp range for mollies is 78-82 F.

Did you check for disease, i.e. ich, fungus, etc.

Mollies often do better with a little salt in their water.  Try putting in about 1 tsp of aquarium salt per 5 gallons of water.  Not all at once.

A male has a long, pointed anal fin.

A female's anal fin is rounded like a fan.

  2. like the first answerer stated make sure its a male cuz if its a female it may be pregnant but if its a male it might have aswimbladder disease and may die post a picture so someone can identify if its  amle or fremale

  3. silly question to ask but are you sure it is male not female? if it turns out to be female then it is pregnant and will stay at the bottom until the live babies are delivered/born and also wont eat until 24 hours after all the babies are born,if it is male then he could have a swimbladder problem easily treated by a swimbladder treatment made by inter-pet  hope this helps u out

edit:can you take a picture of it so we can see if it is male or female please
