Yes all levels of ph, alkalinity, chlorine are normal.

When I go to wash her hair it feels like hard cement.

It doesn;t affect everyone else's hair just two of my girls.

Any suggestions or similar incidents.

  1. the girl is suffering from the chemicals that dry out the strands also its possible that her hair gets knotted? this used to happen to me when i was a little girl, the best thing to do is rinse her with a deep conditioner when she gets out. that always helps me even today :)

  2. it depends on how her hair is. is it really thick? and also what she was doing in the water. if she was moving around a lot, then her hair might just be hard from all the knots she has. did she have anything in her hair before she went in? because it might just be a reaction it's having to the water and the chemicals in it.

i dont think it's anything to worry about..

this happens to me sometimes and im 14.

  3. never had that happen to me and i'm in a pool everyday for the past 2 years. i have very thin hair too. i use good conditioners and shampoos though, so that may be why it doesnt happen to me.

  4. Chlorine definitely dries hair out. Use conditioner and consider strapping a swimming cap on her noggin that helps too.

  5. chlorine drys hair and skin out...it doesn't matter that the PH is Ok...chlorine is STILL a bleach to kill bacteria...so put hair conditioner on her hair before she swims and then rinse her hair really well after she comes out...make sure you wash and condition her hair as soon as possible, once she's out of the pool.

  6. The Same thing happens to my little girl hair every time it gets wet. I went to a beauty supply store like Sally's  and I bought some intense conditioner for dry/ damaged hair it should be in a  small packet leave it on their hair for 5 min then rinse

  7. The chlorine and other the other chemicals are drying out her hair.  The natural oils are being pulled out.  Everyones hair is a little different and some hair may not be as pourous.  That is why the two other girls hair don't feel the same when they come out of the pool.  You could prevent this somewhat by having her wear a swimming cap.  Good luck and happy swimming.  Sounds like fun in this hot summer weather.

  8. it happens to me all the time, its one of the chemicals used in every pool. I recently discovered that using Herbal Esences' Hello Hydration has really been helping. Also if they rinse their hair out right away from getting out of the pool it will help.

oh also I have really thick hair
