Why does my daughter have bad breath again?? She's already had her tonsils out!?!?

My dauhter is 5 going on 6, she had had bad breath for a long time as well as multiple strep throat diagnosis's. So she had her tonsils taken out last year and astonishingly her bad breath was gone....Now all of a sudden, she has horrible bad breath again. Although I noticed it in my younger dauhter too. We all brush teeth every night & morning. And I always brush after them.. althought I know it comes from the throat. So what the heck is going on???

Bad breath can come from numerous places besides the mouth!

- she could have an abscess in one of her teeth

- if she is prone to sinus infections, the draining down the back of her throat can cause it

- it can come from the stomach

- it can come from the lungs

- besides brushing her teeth, she should be flossing and using a tongue scraper.

- sometimes when people are mouth breathers when they sleep they can get bad breath.
