Why does my detergent smell like manure ?

I have a keen sense of smell.

( my mom says, " It doesn't smell that bad, and it's just because she used a different brand - TIDE - and I'm use to the other kind )

I'm very confused, because every now, and then. When I pull my shirt or shorts from the laundry bag, it has a very stank smell.

Has anyone ever had this problem ?

I doubt my mind is playing tricks on me, but hey. Do you think people can smell my funky detergent ? It smells like straight up manure.

WTF is going on ?

Maybe the washing machine is dirty, I don't know. I'm so confused I can't really explain it.

I've also noticed that some laundry detergents smell pretty bad. One of them is the Bravo brand and some other store brands. Others have said that it smells fine to them, but I think they smell like funky corn chips. In fact, the last huge bottle of detergent I bought had this smell, so instead of throwing it out (expensive!), I decided to use Snuggle fabric softener. Now, everything I wear smells like Snuggle, and that suits me just fine.

get out the vinegar bottle and let the tub fill and put in some vinegar and let it clean things out and freshen it sounds like the lines need a little cleaning

Its probably midew smell

If clothes are left in wash machine to long not dry right away let say within 24 hours. The start to stink.

So you can rewash them or try to add fabric softner during the rinse cycle and this should get rid of the smell. Just pick a fabric softener you like
