  1. it might want a piece of toast

  2. He wants toast!

  3. my dog jumps hehehe

  4. If the toaster is toasting at the time the dog might be smelling the toast and be hungry. Or maybe it can see the heatwaves distorting his vision. Who knows...

  5. Maybe hes hungry or if he does it when it pops up, maybe he is trying to tell you its ready.  Ours barks at the hoover and lawnmower but the toaster is a new one on me

  6. Ya got one Helluva dog there!

  7. Dogs do things because they are getting some sort of reward out of it.

Dogs can start doing all sorts of peculiar things on a regular basis, barking at inanimate objects, grabbing objects out of their owners hands, staring at the ceiling, growling at invisible enemies. The common factor is that the owners notice it and give the animal attention. This virtually guarantees a repeat performance on a regular basis.

Barking at a working toaster. Where is the reward there? Well, if the dog barks at it then eventually food comes flying up out of it. If a tub of ice-cream came out of my freezer every time I barked at it I might be tempted to try that one too.

  8. You should have desensitived him to noise!

some sounds are definitely unfamiliar for dogs. But you gotta love him. Our 6 week old pup barks at any noise cause she's just getting used to them. But you gotta love her lol that's my motto.

  9. haha im roaring laughing at the first answer

  10. perhaps he likes toast?

  11. Because your dog is a dog.

They chase their tails, do whatever they're told & eat stuff that kills them.

    You shouldn't be surprised.

  12. I don't know dogs do some strange things. My dog once barked at a loaf of bread and then ran out in the garden still barking =/

  13. Because the toaster's calling him a cat.

  14. I think its because of the smell the toaster gives off. You know sometimes in films you see a dog barking when there's a fire with loads of smoke, this is similar, he/she is barking at the smell. Well, that's what ours was doing, we've moved it away from him now.

  15. Is it chrome? if so he is probably barking at the vicious looking dog he can see when he looks at it.

Or the popping noise is pissing him off.

  16. yea hes hungry lol

  17. He wants it done with hot butter.Dogs have high sensory hearing. It can

probably hear the workings.Better you keep it out of the way when doing

    toast.

  18. It's believed that many animals, including cats and dogs, can hear the residual electricity in domestic appliances in much the same way humans can hear pylons buzzing, maybe it's that.

It could on the other hand just be the fact it's food!

  19. Dogs hear many things during thier lifetime and some things sound unfamiliar. he is probably not knowing what it does and just frightens him.
