  1. I know totally gross!  I asked my vet the same question and he said some of them like the taste of it then made a face too.  LOL Don't worry about it.

  2. i don´t think it´s a natural thing, just try to keep their place clean all the time and make all efforts to keep it that way and they will not eat their p**p anymore

  3. Some dogs eat p**p because of the smell.

You can mix pineapple in her food or put lemon juice on her p**p after she poops.

    hope this helps.

  4. most dogs eat p**p -- it's one of those bizarre doggy things

  5. all dogs eat p**p especially cat p**p the smell attracts them from the food the other animals eat

  6. have your dog checked out for parasites. Get her on a high quality dog food she may just be needing better nutrition. If  she stays in the house she just may be cleaning up after herself because she is afraid of getting in trouble.

  7. My dog did that too, she outgrew it by about 18 months old.

  8. it might be because they arent getting the right nutrition or arent absorbing all the vitamins they need so they try to get the vitamins that didnt stay in their body. Go get them some dog food that has more nutritional value.

  9. Because they can!

Seriously, this has been debated many times. It has been thought that some eat p**p due to nutritional deficiencies or hormone imbalance. Honestly, I think they just like it! Adding some pineapple to a dog's diet will discourage then from eating their own p**p- the enzymes in pineapple make the p**p taste really bad.

My female will eat it every chance she gets, the male ,never. They are

both very healthy and eat the same high quality grain free food( Taste of the Wild). So, I have no idea why one eats poo and the other does not. My vet has no real answer. either.

  10. because it's yummy... to your dog, and other dogs. I also have a female pug, but as far as I know she doesn't eat p**p, but I guess to dogs there's nothing wrong with doing that... it's appealing to them.
