Why does my dog shake for two or three seconds every so often?

In fact, all dogs do that. Why?

I tried to find out why by doing an internet search.  But, could not find anything that wasn't about a dog being afraid or cold or wet or ill.

I personally would guess that the shake every so often would have to do with body temps and keeping it regulated...but, I don't know.

It sounds like maybe you have the answer...hopefully, you will share and my last half hour of internet searching will not be for naught:)
