Why does my dwarf hamster eat her p**p??

Question

Sometimes I see her eating her own p**p, is this normal??

yes its perfectly normal! they eat their p**p because they need more fibre in their diet.

food when it goes through the process it turns to p**p.

so it is still food but turned in to p**p.

we don't eat it cause we poo in the toilets.

i was just reading a mag on hamster and it says its normal for hamster to eat their p**p and natural and i s part of the hamsters digestive system...the hamster actually picks the p**p that has the most nutrients left in them and eat it to gain more

it means that their food doesn't have enough protein in it, the way to choose their food is to check the ingredients and the 1st three ingredients should be protein, if not they will get it from their p**p

All hamster are different. I have a Roborovski hamster and his p**p if really small so I don't know if he eats it.

im not sure dogs doit sometimes dont they it may just be her cleaning around her nest nothin to worry about
