Why does my espn fantasy baseball team suck?

this is my first year ever playing fantasy anyhting idk why but my team is in 9th place i just dont get it

U need some upgrades,and you need to take some chances.

SPs-Dump-Igaua,Wakefield,and Willis. Pick up- Laffey ,Wolf,and Kershaw.

Replace Lowery with Victor Martinez on the DL..(When Victor comes back,dump Varitek)

Replace Carlos Delgado with Carlos Pena (He may have another hot streak in him,like last year.)

Replace Mientkewich+Lugo with Russel Branyon+Mark Reynolds

Replace your last 3 OFs with Ben Francisco,Marcus Thames

and Chris Young.

This should shake up your team,and get you moving up the standings..Good Luck!

im not even gonna look. this is your first year. just take it as experience.

listen to your friends,fantasy shows and read some fantasy books for whatever sport you gonna play.

then you can form your own system. first year in any league is a learning curve we all had to manuver.

ok i went and looked, i guess thats my momma in me. your team isnt that bad but you have two on the disabled list that isnt producing.  id look who is available and pick up someone who is active. the person you pick up may not be the star you want but at least they are playing and will give more than just zeros across the board.

Your team is horrible is probably why you're doing bad.  You have injured/inactive players on your roster.  Your outfield is a crime against humanity, your pitching staff is atrocious.  The game is based on statistics, and the statistics in every category are poor in relation to your opponents.  Few suggestions:  get rid of Willis and Igawa, at least, and try to get position players that are everyday players.

First year is the experiment year. You see what the good managers do(don't listen to fantasy shows and don't buy fantasy magazines), pick your favorite format. I would suggest to switch to Yahoo, they do a better draft. Second, like in anything, you have to aware. Don't keep/draft people who are servicable back-ups in the bigs. They suck in fantasy! In the first year, follow the ranks! Guys like Willis, Igawa, Mientkiewicz, Cabrera, Lugo desrrve to be dropped! Guys that aren't that good and on the DL for a long time, like Lowry, deserve to be dropped too. Some moves you need to do: Drop Lowry and get V-Mart now!!!! Also drop Lugo for Theriot! Chris Young for Melky Cabrera, and Mike Cameron for David DeJesus! Drop Mientkiewicz for Mark Reynolds, and Delgado for Alex Gordon, Willis for for Gavin Floyd, and Igawa for Fuentes. Just accept this season as a trial, and move on next season, Who was your 2nd round pick, just wondering?
