Why does my exploer browser show protected mode: off?

Question

Near the bottom right of the screen when I am online with my explorer (7) browser, I see "Internet | Protected Mode Off."

I double click and check the options....security level is on "Medium-high" and "Enable protected mode " is checked!

I am using the Comodo SafeSurf program, it's icon is in the bottom tool bar....but how can I know it is working for sure?

Download firefox.  if gives less trouble then IE

Let me guess... You have vista. If im right then, this is fine it just another one off vista protection. Dont worry about this if you already have a firewall and anti-virus. Because this feature is not very important. Go to this to read about it http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windows...

You can Double-Click on the icon in the task bar to make changes in the settings.
