because I have bipolar?

I been trying to get into medical school for a while.

Did I cause this?

I do stress but is that the only contributing factor.

My mom said I should be a pediatrician and my sister should be a plastic surgeon.

  1. I am sorry you feel bad. I don't think you caused your disorder. Ask your doctor, but I think its more of a chemical imbalance. As far as your family is concerned, I am sure they are secretly proud of you. You will have to decide your own fate, however, and not allow other people to choose for you. I wish you luck and success and hope you are soon feeling better. I would be proud to have you as a family member.

  2. If your family looks down on you for having Bipolar it is because they are uninformed and perhaps ignorant.  Do they also look down on people with cancer?  I'm sorry that your family isn't supportive.  Please know that you did NOTHING to cause this - it is not your fault.  What you are going through will only make you stronger.

  3. You be want you want to be, do not be something that someone else wants you to be, because that may result in more depression.

Be who you are and do not let anyone else live your life for you, and if you parents do not accept your descion then its their problem it doesn't matter if you are bipolar it stops you from accomplising nothing in your life you are the same as everyone else and you can exceed your expectations just as everyone else can.
