  1. Cats are very strange.... o_O I have three female cats, and they each have different ways of using the cat litter box. Moka will cover up her f***s, but not her pee, Lily will cover her pee and not her f***s, and Kandy changes her mind pretty much every other day. Haha, only they know why they do it.

  2. Probably the same reason that boys/men don't put the toilet lid back down!!  :-)

  3. In the wild the mother cat teaches her kittens to bury their waste to hide their scent from predators and so as not to offend more dominant cats in the neighbourhood.  Is your male kitten the more dominant of the two?  Of course all cats are different and some are just a bit lazy or have slightly lower standards than other cats.  Our male cat is a little younger than our female and when he was a kitten, if she didn't think he'd covered his smell completely, she used to finish the job for him.

  4. He smells her and wants to mark his territory over her. Covering it up would "hide" his scent.

  5. It just depends on the cat, only they really know why. :) My cat doesn't cover anything she leaves in her litter box, either. I wish she would.

  6. Sounds like a man thing to me!!!  LOL

Cats are all so different in personality - there is no way to tell the REAL reason I guess!  Love them for their quirks lol

  7. It has nothing to do with gender. Just like humans, cats have different personalities, my cat (male) named Gizmo overs his leavings, but my cat Fluffy (female) and my cat Jr. (male) don't.

  8. lol my male cat's the same way
