  1. lol, all ferret do it its called weasel war dance!!!! they do it when they are happy! And the noises are called "dook" or "dooking" when a ferret is happy or excited it will dook with glee. A few other sounds a ferret will make is a scream a high pitched yelp if your ferret makes this noise you must go find out why it generally means they are hurt or very scared. Also a ferret will "bark" sounds like a small dog bark but only once at a time.

  2. She's doing the weasel war dance. :)

It's really funny to watch. Ferrets do it when they get so excited or happy that they can't contain themselves, so they end up being all over the room, running into things, doing summersaults.... They really do put on quite a show. :)

  3. Quite easy.  All ferrets have this crazy metabolism.  They can't help but be active and want to run around every where.  When you cage them (which is a must, they get into everything) they have no outlet so when you do open the cage, watch out.  Try getting a bigger cage with multiple levels, tubes and ladders.  Put some toys in there too.  It will help your ferrett be a little calmer when it comes out, but it will still want to play.

  4. That happens, well, happened to my hamster(Ill miss you roger hehe) he was always chill, but when I let him run around the room he went wild, running like it was trying to escape.

Its most likely excited if you ask me..

  5. your very lucky all she is doing is playing when she hops and runs shes simply excited nothing more nothing to worry about hope this was helpfull to you cheers chris

  6. It's normal, ferrets are just crazy little critters with way too much energy sometimes! =) That hopping is the "weasel war dance" (also referred to as the "ferret dance of joy") and that noise is the famous ferret "dook dook!" All it really means is that she's excited and ready to play. She probably only does it in the morning because she's been cooped up in her cage all night, so come morning, she's ready to go and wants to play. Enjoy it! I love the ferret dance and dook dooks! =)
