  1. my fish used to do that, thats how he slept!

  2. Cos its dead, you murderer.

  3. swim bladder

  4. It could be dying, could be the swim bladder ordeal...but I had a fish that did the same thing and it turned out it was pregnant!!

  5. maybe it's DEAD

  6. Sounds dead to me.

  7. Swim bladder, get some treatment quick. But it does not always cure it as it depends on how serious the infection is in the fish.

I have lost a few fish due 2 swim bladder wen i first set up my aquarium, hopefully u will be able 2 save it.

  8. ok so it depends on how long this has been going on,

i noticed one of my goldfish struggling to swim down and rolling on his side and generally looking sick,

i looked up on here and thought he probably had swim bladder problems, the best advice seemed to be to feed him peas, i defrosted some and peeled the skins off and mushed them up and fed them last night. i put one pea onto a bit of bamboo skewer with the points cut off cos the peas were sinking and the sick fish couldn't swim all the way down. this morning he loooks fine i fed them peas again this morning.

    feed him peas

  9. He is most likely dieing

  10. Mostly dead...

  11. Hi it sounds like you fish has swim bladder it because you have fed it too much food and its constipated and cannot swim properly, try not to feed you fish as much as this can happen, our were crown pearl scale fish and they did this all the time, till we found out what it was lol,

  12. I don't think it is dead.. almost permanently? Swim bladder go to pets at home they have medicines :)

  13. Sick fish, probably swim bladder problems but could be anything really. Will be dead tomorrow most likely sad but true. Do you have other fish in the tank are they OK? Are you cleaning/maintaining it properly?

  14. I think he/she's on their way out love sorry x

  15. sounds like dropsy to me

    my fish had it

if you go to your vet as soon as possible tthey can give you tables to put in the tank and make them better

  16. that happened to one of my fish, it's most probably a problem with the swim bladder. There is medication and things that you can do, but you need to do it quickly.

    There is more info at:

  17. some fish when they do that is because they have just simply eaten to much i had to look after a friends big ugly goldfish he had 10 of them he was the only one to float upside down and on his side i was going to take it out the tank when my dad says no that it is healthy that it does it when it has eaten to much, the fish is still alive today

  18. just about ready for the big swim down the toilet pan

  19. Google Swim bladder.

  20. Like everybody pointed out, your fish is dieing.  You might want to change the water, maybe there are some toxins in it that your fish is succumbing to.  I have brought goldfish back from the edge before by putting them in some fresh water.

  21. its either dying or bloated. many fish float to the top of tank n go on their side or upside down when there bloated. fish that die sink first

  22. sounds like you have over fed him, which affects the swim glands, do not feed for a few days and if it is this, he will recover
