Moved in to a new Persimons home last June. We notices straight away that the kitchen floor (on 1st floor of house) sloped towards the middle of the room. It is 2 inches lower in the middle than it is at all the edges, subsequently all the plinths that run across the bottom of the kitchen units show big gaps in the middle. Do you think that they made a mistake when building the floor, or is this normal in new build homes now. Persimmons told us not to worry about it as it was a "floating floor" Would appreciate it if anyone could shed any light on this for me.
