Why does my friend always try to impress me and copy me?

ok i have this friend and if i say oh i saw this really awesome phone i want it so bad she says oh im getting that phone or my aunt has that phone or if i say i like something she likes it to and i asked my best friend about this (shes also friends with her) and she said that she never liked any of that stuff until i say i like it.....i always shop at abercrombie because i like the quality of theyre clothes and the design and that stuff and when she found out i liked abercrombie she started wearing it and i know she cant afford things and i dont care if she has designer things but its like she thinks she has to impress me so ill like her but how can i let her know that she doesnt have to impress me for me to like her?

Perhaps she thinks your really cool, and looks up to, and she doesn't know she's getting on your nerves by doing what she is doing.

maybe she looks up to you. If you are really bothered by it ask her about it if she is a real friend she will understand :)
