Have eliminated the harness to the fuel pump, and the harness to the engine. It is a 1996 Ford Windstar 3.8L fuel injected van. Have removed all the relays to the juntion box and still pops the fuse. Removed the covers from the junction box and no visual shorts or melting there either.bared the primary harness and no visual bare or shorted wires.

  1. sounds like maybe you have some shorted (melted) wires in fuse box...remove the fuse box and look at the back of the bow...sounds like you have done a good job on diag ..we just worked on a 96 star and it had an electrical issue and we tracked it to the fuse box...and it had wires melted in the rear of the box that were not visible from the front view

  2. The fuel pump ITSELF is shorting out     Replace it

  3. you have a short somewhere. id get it to an electrical shop so they can determine where the short is
