Why does my game "Need for Speed ProStreet" does not recognize that the correct DVD was inserted?

I already installed it but when I start the game, it says "Incorrect DVD inserted. Please insert the correct DVD" even though I already inserted the correct DVD. What should I do?

This is a long shot, but same thing happened to me before. I've got 2 DVD drives and installed from one. When I started to play the game I put the DVD in the other drive. It did not work. Apparently the game wanted to work from the installation drive. Putting the DVD in the original installation drive, solved my problem.

Like I said, likely not the cause of your problem, but worth mentioning.

A simple solution is a no dvd patch for the game. Here are the steps...

1. Go to http://www.gameburnworld.com/dl/dl.php?f... and download the file.

2. Extract the files in it to the folder u installed the game to in program files.

3.Run the game normally - it should work

try uninstalling then reinstall it. if that doesnt work try using a fixed exe to run the game without the dvd.
