Why does my goldfish have a bump on its head?

I'm a little concerned. I've had my goldfish for 6 years now, but only a few weeks ago, I noticed a bump growing on her head. At first I didn't think much of it, but then after a while, it started growing. It's pretty prominent on her head, and i'm wondering if its cancerous?

Is there something I can do to help?

is it red? because if its red, its normal.

Take a picture of your fish into a trusted Aquarium store and ask for advice. They may be able to point you in the right direction of what kind of medication to use on her. Good Luck.
