  1. Does he seem in pain when he does it, or does it not bother him at all? He might have a nerve problem and cannot sense pain well.

  2. Strange! my nephew used to gag himself on purpose. He would also just fall down and laugh.

The person above me makes a great point, although a bit rare, some kids have issues to where they cannot feel pain.

Sounds great but it's actually a burden because the kids have to be extra careful in life.

  3. wELL.......MY BROTHER SCRATCHES HIM SELF MAYBE BECAUSE HE HT HIMSELF?

  4. Beats me. My older brother used to punch himself in the face and still does.

I sure hope someone has an answer for you.

  5. Sometimes kids do things like this when they are being abused. But that is not always true. Sometimes they just do it for attention. My brother in law died 6 years ago and left behind 4 young children. My youngest niece would bite herself, and purposelly beat her head into the wall. This was obviously because of the trauma she had went through from losing her dad. My son will get pissed at me and fall backwards when he's standing up, not caring when he hits his head on the ground. Just talk to him about it, I'm sure you get enough c**p from people who see the bruises on him and think that you guys are responsible. Good luck!
