Why does my hair not stay curled..?

i curled my hair today with a bed head curling iron and i think use the right amount of hair spray but when i curl my hair why does my curls not stay in and what should i do to make them stay in?

  1. try to spray your peices of hair with hair spray before you curl.taht always helps me.

  3. the technical reason is because you hair shaft is fine, so curl doesn't hold.  My hair was like that when I was a teen, now that I'm mid 20's it actually wavy on it's own so it holds curl better... But on your damp hair use mousse, after you get it dry spray it first with hairspray...after all of your hair is curled then seperate the curls style it and use good hairspray to hold it.

  4. Some people cannot use the curling iron, they have to go beyond that.  You may have to use rollers.  You can use a setting lotion and rollers overnight and then you will have curls that should last you for awhile.  My mom cannot use curling irons, she has to use rollers.
