  1. we had a hamster as a child and the thing use to bite every one ...

  2. That is kind of what rodents do! They like to use their teeth. Also, Hamsters are nocturnal and object to being awakened during the day when they think they should be sleeping. Just as we humans object to being kept awake by their running on the hamster wheel at night while we think we should be sleeping.

  3. there could possibly be a smell on your hand of another animal or something make sure you wash your hands really good before and after you hold it.

  4. Wash your hands really well before you hold it because it might be smelling food on you. Also if your hamster is trying to sleep and you upset it, it will bite you. If when you reach in the cage to grab your hamster it turns over on it's back and bears it's teeth, Leave it alone! That's what they do when they're angry to scare of predators.

  5. it might be a smell on your hand or maybe you woke it up or maybe put your hand somewhere they are aggresively protective of. i had to get rid of mine because she wouldn't stop and she was in a ball running around and i helped her back in the house thingy. some reason to bite me lol
