  1. scared

  2. Hes probably just scared and needs time to adjust to you and his new surroundings.

  3. sounds like he is nervous cosd her doesnt know you v well.

if u pick him up twice daily he will soon get used to you. make him comfortble in your hand & stroke him calmly so he knows there's nothing to fear.

    gd luck

  4. What they don't tell you at the pet stores is that hamsters actually make quite poor pets. They are nocturnal, they smell, and they don't like to be handled (most rodents don't). Your best bet is to stop handling it, and let it live it's little life. I know, it sucks. But, maybe when it dies you can foster a dog or cat from your local animal shelter. They like being pet plently.

  5. it's frightened.  you're like a predator and he's the prey so why shouldn't he shake.  once he gets to know you and you pose no threat, he'll stop shaking.

  6. Okay, I honestly have never had a rodent for a pet, and never would. I "do" know this much. If something or someone with a gigantic hand reached into "my" world, and picked me up, I would no doubt SHAKE! I

am positive I'd do more than that, but I would definitely shake. Your hand is more than likely larger than his body, so think about it....yeah?

I don't know, do you pet him when you pick him up? Maybe that would calm him down...Good luck, to BOTH of you.
