  1. well i had two hamsters and one was playing where the tube ended and the other one was fat and got stuck in the tube so they both died

  2. Your hamster is probly stressted. My hamster did that when I first brought him home. That or he is scared of you. They are so tiny you look so big to them.If you have other hamsters he might want some alone time.

  3. hamster are burrowers in the wild, so that's what they like.

  4. Because they are scared. They are nocturnal. They like to sleep during the day and not like to be bugged.

  5. because they are scared of you.

  6. hamsters are nocturnal you may think that they are always in the tube but at night they are probably roaming around their cage

do you have any bright lights near or over the cage that could be what they are hiding from

maybe they just enjoy being in the tube do an experiment take the tube out of there cage and see what do they do hide under other stuff if not they just like the tube

if you have socialized with your hamsters they might be hiding from you

if there are a lot of loud noises where their cage is they may be hiding because they are scared \

are your hamsters male and female ... if so they might be mating

  7. Hey, hamsters stay in their tubes for the most of the 24 hours in a day. My two hammies only come out maybe 2 times a day to nab a quick bite to eat and a sip of water. Its perfectly normal. They are nocturnal, (sleep all day & up all night)... But if you want to see more of your hamster during day light hours, try this. Place something new, like a new toy for them, a different kind of snack, something that has never been in the cage. you will get their attention.or you can try taking the tube out of the cage, put a kleenex in hte cage. Your hamster will be awake and at work for hours tearing that tissue apart.. I love my hammies :)

  8. I have a dwarf hamster, and I'm sure he is not scared of me, but he stays in his tubes alot.Remember, hamsters are nocternal, so they may be sleeping in there, my d. hamster sleeps in his tube sometimes. They may also like it because the tubes don't let as much light through as the cage, as they are use to being awake in the darkness.
