Question:

Why does my heel hurt?

I took a short 4 km run this monday and nothing bad happened. Then in in the evening my heel started hurting like crazy when I walk on it. Its been like this since then.

Now I sorta limp when I walk, I walk on my toes with the injured foot to spare the heel, but it still kinda hurts because all the muscles and ligaments in the foot are tightened when I walk this way so it still touches the heel region.

When I sit down or lie down for a while I cant feel the pain at all.

Im a 24 year old guy that exercises fairly frequently.

  1. maybe you bruised your bone while running or its a muscle strain...try elevating it and soaking it in warm water or use heat compacts...take some pain killers..make sur you dont do any physical exersise until its better..if it still hurts at the end of the week then go to your doctor and let them see whats going on

  2. It happens to me once and lasted for a week ......it was the excess of uric acid.   Stop taking nuts, soya bean, long bean and all in this family of food.  Drink lots of water to flush out the acid in your body.

    Regulate your system.

Check with the doctor for confirmation.
