Question:

Why does my internet keep going out?

I have bell south fastaccess dsl internet and it's constantly going out. On the modem the ethernet light is usually red. In fact, in the last hour, it's gone out about 7 times. It's always doing this and I don't know why. Any help would definitely be appreciated!!!

  1. Sounds like there is an issue with your DLS modem directly.  Place a call to Bell South's customer support and let them know you're having the issue.  They will troubleshoot with you over the phone to find the cause of the problem and either send a tech out to fix it, or send you a new modem depending on the cause of the problem.  When in doubt, call the people you pay good money for access to the internet FIRST.  If they can't fix it, switch to NetZero and stick with dial-up :(.
