This has been going on for about a week already, and every time I boot up the computer I can surf the web fine for about 5 minutes and then it stops working! I have at&t dsl and what I've noticed on the dsl box is that the Activity green light stops flashing. I'm just going to point this out that no one messed with the cables and everything is connected fine and my laptop and ps3 still picks up signal from the router. It's just the main computer that the dsl is hooked up with that is troubleshooting. Please help!!!

  1. you could contact AT&T, there might be a problem with the modem..  have them run some line tests.

  2. On the cable box if the green light stops flashing when your pc is unable to connect it could be a problem with the modem. If the PS3 and a notebook can still connect to the network if the light stops flashing then it doesn't sound like a problem with the modem. It can be a problem with the NIC (Network Interface Card). If so you would need to replace the NIC inside the PC. You can try calling AT&T and they can go onsite to replace the modem if it is the modem, or run a diagnostic from there end to see what the problem is.

  3. mine has been doing the same thing. It seems like it freezes. I also have at&t sl. Maybe it does have something to do with them!!

  4. login router and set your lease time longer
