Why does my ipod video pause without me doing anything?

my ipod does that to from a time but if it get really worse then go 2 best buy ask for the geek squad and tell them wat happened thye can probally fix it. :-)

Have you tried factory restoring your ipod.  To do this, plug your ipod in, open up itunes and click on your ipod and it should give you two buttons 'restore' and 'check for updates'. Click restore and it will restore your ipod to the way it was when you first bought it.  This will mean you will need to put your music on once again.

Sometimes Ipod just experience glitches, if restore doesnt fix it then your ipod is most likely damaged from being dropped or something.

uhmm r u sure yur not like bumpin against it to make it pause... and if it wont shut off it should do that automatticly.. or press pause an hold it down be paitinet if it dont happen rite away oh an mabey it froze.. you can hold the menu button and the middle button down to un freeze it or is it the middle button and the pause button well try it hope that helped..
