Why does my kitten insist on being around me at all times?

Shes about 8 weeks old, she is either sleeping in my lap, or if I'm on the comp. shes sleeping under my chair, but that's only after shes cried for about 20 Min's and fail attempts to get in my lap. When I go to go to sleep she sleeps either right next to me or on me, and she has to be touching me, which can cause problems cus i rolled over on her for the first time last night, which didn't deter her at all I give her a **** load of attention plus theres alot of family members in my house that show her alot of attention, but she still follows me everywhere and will only pay attention to other people if im around, i get up to leave the room shes right behind me

I don't know how long you have had her, but this often happens when a kitten is taken away from it's mother too young.

You are its substitute mother.
