She doesn't really like playing fetch. But every time she sees me, she always goes over to get the tug of rope and nudges it toward me for me to take.

  1. Dogs just love to have fun! There no other way to explain it! I have a lab/staffordshir terrier (aka english pitbull) and as long as she has someone to play with, she will play with everything.

  2. Because she does and it has nothing to do with her being a pit. Most dogs of all breeds love playing tug of war with their owners. So just play tug with her and be happy that you have a dog that enjoys playing

  3. My Yorkie loves to play tug-of-war, does that mean he has some pit in him, too?!  My pit bull however, is all about fetch.  Do some research on the breed you own!

  4. Dominant dogs like tug of war and it is well known that this game can bring on many problems later on.  I ask that you seriously think about not playing tug of war games with your dog.  However if you must then ensure you always win.  You must be the domiant one in the pack.

Female dogs are sometimes the most dominant and sneeky.

  5. Yep, that would be the Pit Bull side of her!  APBTs love playing tug of war!
