This started recently. Before now everything worked fine. I live in the US and my laptop is an HP Pavilion. Can I change my settings?

  1. you should cjange your setting.

  2. Yes.

Go to properties under your DVD ROM then Hardware then select your DVD ROM and click properties again and then select DVD Region and finally select your country.

    It goes something like this.

My Computer >Properties(of your DVD ROM) >Hardware >Select your DVD ROM > Properties> DVD Region.

Remember you can change the region only about 3 to 5 times only.

  3. You may have accidentally set your drives region incorrectly. For the US it should be region 1. Anything else, and you wont be able to use region protected discs.

Check the website of your drive manufacturer for info on how to reset the region.
