Okay... im in track and i havent had this problem untill i started track.

When i run my calves and my whole legs are fine

its when i stop running my lower legs like my calves have alot of pain. like the right side of my left calf and the left side of my right calf.

and its along the side where the bone is

like when i touch the bone i always flinch

darn this is hard to explain.

my dad thinks its shin splints but i dont know...

i just need some of your ideas..

and the pain is so bad sometimes i fall to the ground... or i would have to keep walking it just makes me want to cry sometimes. lol

yeah...

so what do you think is wrong?

and should i do something to my legs during a track meet?

like tape them?

thanks. =]

  1. i have had similar problems-it is probably just shin splints-the only thing to do is tape them, and then just take it really easy-don't push yourself too hard

  2. well i had the same kind of pain. i went to see a doctor and he suggested that it may be from growing. something about the bone outgrowing the muscle and that i should stretch very well before and after workouts. maybe the same would benefit you. Usually shin splints hurt while you're running then go away after you're legs get warmed up a bit.

  3. Sounds like shin splints, maybe even  a stress fracture. I can understand your pain. I have shin splins right now and they are affecting my training and times! Ice them multiple times a day for 20 minutes. You may have to take it easy a couple days
