Why does my liver hurt after urinary retention?

i have just come out of hospital on thursday where i have been a week because i was unable to urinate i had an mri because i have a lump near my spine which came up clear i had an abdominal xray which was also clear and all my blood tests came back clear. They gave me an e***a because they said i was constipated and i seemed to be able to urinate once the cathater was taken out but now i am having problems emptying my bladder again. I have now noticed my liver seems to have a weird dull ache as if someone is pulling on it i was just wondering if anyone knows if this is connected in anyway before i make my way back to the doctors again

I suspect your brain is playing tricks on you. If you drink I'd suggest a few beers before bed just to see if it's due to anxiety. The theory being the calming effects of alcohol would trump any anxiety.
