  1. Its because your charger has had it or your battery is dieing. get your battery tested first.

  2. I think you mean your MacBook (Pro) isn't charging, not the cable! It'd be rather pointless to charge the cable! <grin>

Mine often loses colour (it's showing green as I type this, though), but the battery still charges. How do you know the battery isn't charging? What does the battery indicator (third to the left on the Menu Bar, after the Spotlight icon and the day/time.) indicate? What does it say next to it (if it still needs to charge but, for some reason isn't, it'll say 'not charging' and if there was a physical problem with the battery, it would be displaying 'X" in the battery indicator icon.

You say the indicator on the MagSafe connector flashes. Interesting - mine's never done that. How old is the machine? What OS is it running (yes, this can be a factor)? Is it still under AppleCare (either complimentary or extended)?

That's about the best I can offer without further info. How many green lights do you see when you turn the machine over and press the button on the battery; the fewer there are the less charge it's holding.

    Perhaps this may help?

  4. Maybe you could try getting another charger or contact Apple tech support...^^
