Why does my modem keep restarting!?

I have a smartAX MT882 modem supplied to me by my network provider but the d**n thing keeps restarting randomly. it has nothing to do with the heat because it starts almost immediately and sometimes wont start up until the next day. any ideas?

Sounds like a fault with the modem.  Have them swap the modems out.  It also could be faulty wiring that would send electricity back to the modem.  Just enough will cause the modem to reboot.  another thing to check is the polarity of the outlet.  Make sure that is correct.
