Why does my mom only want me to wear lipstick

she most likely thinks of you as her baby girl and feels you are growing up too fast. sit her down and tell her why you would like to wear more make-up other than lipstick and why. if that doesnt work, just get to school early or put it on on the bus and take it off on the bus

My advice is to ask you mom how she feels about make-up.  Many moms feel like make-up takes away from the natural beauty of their children.  With your mother that might be the case.  On the other hand, it might be an age issue.  Ask her nicely about her take on it.

i dont know. it depends on how old you are. if you dont know how to do makeup it looks trashy, like using eyeliner, mascara .... itll look bad. she might just be conservative.

She knows what a pain it is to HAVE to get up every day and take the time to put makeup on.  The more you wear and the longer you wear it, the more you need it.  I agree with your mom, if I had kept my skin pretty and natural when I was younger, I wouldn't have to wear it everyday and how wonderful that would be.  Don't worry about all the makeup and concentrate of keeping your natural skin young and beautiful.  Believe me, when as you get older, you will be glad that you did.  Or just save the makeup for special occassions.
