Question:

Why does my mum always ignore me?

Whenever I try to communicate with my mum, about my dad's dominating of things, or my unhappiness with him, she ignores me, completely. That only makes me angrier, and things get worse. What does she hope to achieve by her silence, if it only makes me angrier?

  1. Maybe you're not the only one suffering and she doesn't want to talk to you about it.  Consider how she feels, and go from there.

A "it's all about me" attitude wont get you anywhere.

Unless you really think she doesn't give a c**p about you.

  2. She probably doesn't know what to do and she might be scared so don't be upset with her.  You should support each other through tough times.  Stand up to your Dad and make it very clear how you feel.

  3. She doesn't have time for it.

Solution: You two should have a weekly set time when you and mom can hang together, like at a coffee shop, for an hour or two, and talk about stuff like that.

  4. it seems to me she is dependent on your dad for money. your mom will be poor if she is not supported by your dad that is why she ignores you. she needs that money so you can be fed and clothed and also to support her addictions.

  5. This involves a lot dear.

Look into your approach to the matter.Do you however listen to their own complains or do you give them Chance to say something?

    The timing too matters.

what is your request?, is it a permanent halt or is it an appeal to understand each other?

First seek to understand and then to be understood dear.

    Good luck dear.
