Why does my new sky+ box have a USB port?

I decided to upgrade to sky + and it was installed today. After the engineer left I noticed there was a USB port next to where the sky viewing card is. Can anyone tell me what is the use for this

sky internet..that connects to your laptop/pc if you subscribe to it
