Why does my orchid hate me? Since I spent real money on it, it never flowered again!?

Question

So I got another one today.

50cm tall, almost pure-white, with lots of flowers.

Now, how do I keep this one from dying.

And should I throw the old one? Is there any saving it?

they dont die they rest.if you cut the sticks back to the 3rd bud and leave it a new stick or stem if you like will shoot up in about 3 month then feed and water.but you have to bepationt with orchids then they will reward you with a lovely show of flowers.good luck
