Why does my oven lock...?

It may have something to do with the "Automatic Lock" when your oven is on CLEANING MODE. All ovens 'lock' when cleaning to avoid severe burns from high temp cleaning.

When your power goes out it must go to an Automatic 'default' lock system?

Do you still have the Instructions from when it was new....check it, if not you may want to call the Manufacturer and question it.
