Why does my pekin duck have an afro?

i bought 4 pekin ducks at an auction in carrolton. allong with 13 aracona chicks. and 9 assorted chicks. one of my ducks has an afro puff on his head. and we are unsure of why it is like that.. anybody know the answer?

My duck has an afro as well, we named him zeke the afro man. But he is almost a year old and still has a huge afro, my mother and I have found it to be the lead duck. All the other ducks seem to follow him around.
