Why does my personal weather choice keep reverting to hong kong, et al?

I choose certain cities for weather; every day, it reverts back to hong kong, san francisco, honolulu, etc. Why and what can I do to lock in my choices?

It may be that you have your virus protection security is set to eliminate cookies on exit.  This may help protect you from tracking cookies, but it also disables the website from knowing your preferences as it resets your weather choice to default.
