Why does my pool table cloth lift when I grip it with my hand?

The cloth has been doing this ever since I got this table. I’ve played on many different pool/snooker tables and I have never seen this happening. Why is this happening?

  1. The cloth probably wasn't put on correctly in the first place. It has to be stretched extremely tight. It is also possible that it wasn't covered with real pool table cloth/felt. Someone could have picked up some cheap cloth at a fabric shop.

  2. maybe its old and the elasticity has worn off it may need a refit but it isnt cheep.

  3. your cloth is not taut enough and is liable to be ripped!!!!

  4. It wasn't installed properly.  Call the place you bought the table and see if they will refelt it since it appears it was done wrong in the first place.

  5. because its a dodgy pool table.

  6. Better get it rectified before you tear off the cloth the next time you play.. this will also affect your game.

  7. cause its coming unglued.

  8. It was never covered correctly in the first place.....when a table is covered, the cloth should be stretched as tight as possible to get the perfect roll. Some times even tightly stretched cloth will loosen a little with humidity, but never enough to pick it up off the table
