I have a Dell Photo Printer 720. It shows up on the ink levels that there is plenty of colour ink left but there is no ink cartridge in at all!!

It also showed plenty of ink when it ran out.

What is wrong with the stupid thing?

  1. i dont think any printer does mine doesnt

  2. It depends on your model of printer and software you are running. The older lexmark and HP's just kept track of page count to give you a bar graph of ink remaining. If the cartridge was a starter or you printed a lot of pictures it would be off. Most of those software settings figure ink usage at 5% of page covering so lots of pictures will really throw it off.
