Why does my rabbit eat my hair?

I just got a rabbit about a month and a half old and he seems to love eating my hair. Can anyone tell me why? And is it even safe for him?

It means your rabbit loves you! grooming human hair is ALOT of work for a bun :) although you shouldnt let him/her EAT it but a few licks is fine and should be taken as the highest compliment a bun could offer its human!
